Hi @Mazarita

Thank you! There will definitely be maple syrup, maybe some berries too Woman LOL

I hope you enjoy your walk this afternoon, hopefully the rain holds off!

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi All,

Having another super lazy weekend.

Have been having a bit of anxiety lately and just requiring more down time as a result. Probably because I can't work out at the moment between my shoulder and ankle injuries.... going for a run is exactly what my head needs but the body just can't at the moment.

Have been getting lots of cuddles from my cats and having a laugh watching the chickens - those are good for the soul.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

It's Sunday, and you know what that means?!

Sunday Funday!!!

What did everyone get up to over the weekend??

I was working at the farm, as usual. We had a calf that had a bad leg, we had to get the vet out. Little tacker has a broken leg, so the vet put a cast on him. Fingers crossed it heals up okay.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hey @Crazy_Bug_Lady, My day has been very quiet, off to a massively slow start and then managed to get some ordinary activities happening, which cheered things up a bit. Some nice time with my partner and a little back and forth on the forum. I'm crossing my fingers for the calf. Cat Happy

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi,
We put up the Christmas tree which cheered up my sick kids a bit. They both asleep!! Phew!! Hoping they sleep better tonight

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi All,

Sounds lovely @Former-Member. What a beautiful way to cheer your kiddies up!

@Crazy_Bug_Lady I love reading about your farm adventures. I dearly love calves after raising a few during my time up north on a cattle station. They are such devine animals I'm so glad the vet could cast your calf's leg, fingers crossed it mends well.

@Mazarita Quiet Sunday's are my favourite. It's good you were able to get a few things done and spend time with your partner despite your slow start.

I have been continuing with my packing ready for the big move home ready to start studying next year. I'm starting to get very emotional but just trying to stay 'in the moment' as much as possible. Easier said than done. I will be leaving behind some incredible people who I feel are the first people who have truly accepted and loved me for who I am so battling quite a few thoughts and emotions with leaving all of that behind.

On the upside, I spent some time motorbike riding with the three kids I look after including taking the youngest for his first big ride instead of him just doing laps around the house yard. He is 3 and had an absolute ball as did his older siblings which was very infectious and a brilliant distraction for me. We also spent some time in the pool playing so from that aspect it was a Sunday Funday. Sunburnt as anything now and paying for it though!

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Wecome to sunday funday peeps!

Massive thank you to @Crazy_Bug_Lady for instigaing funday last week when I was unwell! Please do so anytime! Anyone! PS how is your calf? the image of him with a cast on his leg is so cute 🙂

@BillambaI love hearing about her farm adventures too, hows that packing going? is there anyway to maintain contact with some of these people?

great idea with the tree, I hope your kids are feeling better @Former-Member otherwise you also have christmas decorations they can make! like these! oh to be a kid who gets enjoyment out of such simple pleasures 🙂

how is everyone else? @Mazarita @chookmojo others?

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi all.
Young Limpett is doing well, he should only need the cast for another 3-4 weeks all goes well.
As I am a vegetarian, a lot of people question why I still choose to work on a beef stud. The answer is, all of the animals get the very best care. Not many beef producers would bother to get a vet out and have a cast put on a calf, they'd shoot it. We use a low-stress approach to cattle handling too, we use their flight zones to move them, essentially we are "asking" them to do things, where most would "tell" them, using force.

I just got home, so I'm gonna have a shower then get the computer out. Can you poat videos on here?? I have some cute ones today of a talkative bull, and the calves going for a run. Woman LOL

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Howdy all. I have had a slightly busy weekend. Went to see the new Macbeth with friends last night, and have been doing house and yard work today.

Really don't want to go to work tomorrow and tossing up on whether to take the day off. Planning to have Friday off though so really shouldn't do both... Decisions decisions.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi @chookmojo and @Crazy_Bug_Lady
Good to hear both of you.
So hope we can at least see photos @Crazy_Bug_Lady
