@ArraDreaming aye true, we never celebrated it really - I just like spooky and goth stuff so the decor is my jam 😂

I am the same as you there @Jynx , I love the theme of spiders, goth, spooky, etc of Halloween. But also dont get to celebrate it. Its gaining traction where I am, but in certain suburbs or streets - not widespread enough to get visitors to where I am. Last year I took the dogs for a walk in a known decorated street. That was nice. But one dog got a bit spooked by costumes once it got dusky 😅.
As for me and inner child... I also find it difficult to be silly and "just for fun", but if im with the right people I can. Sometimes my DnD let's me do that - be silly in my characters actions.

@AuntGlow @Jynx et al, I don't know that I have an inner child, it's not a concept I am familiar with.
Is that a good or bad thing? I don't know much about the inner child really.
I didn't do a lot today, I am hoping and praying that this week is warmer and more productive for me. I need to colour my hair, make a GP appointment and would like to finish off a diamond painting I started last week.
I hope everyone has a great week xo

@AuntGlow @Jynx oooooh love love LOVE this one!!! connecting with my inner child is totally my jam so I’m super ready to take this on!
it’s the beginning of my birthday week currently, and I tend to fall victim to the dreaded “birthday blues” a lot at the best of times but even ten times more if things in life have been intensely stressful. it’s something I’ve worked on with therapists for years, and I always know it’s coming, so - connecting with my inner child is EXACTLY how I deal with it!!!
there’s a particular raspberry sherbet cake that my mum always makes for my birthday, and it constantly brings me back to being a little kid again every time 🥰
also, I’m overdue for a big kmart shop mainly for a DIY project I’m working on, and the other day while browsing online I thought to myself “man I can’t even remember how many years it’s been since I last looked at a toy section”. so I started browsing through there and OMG!!! so many options!!! it gave me so many warm and fuzzy feels. has anyone seen all the cool bubble stuff they have?! bubbles is another thing that really helps me connect to my inner child too
lately I’ve been thinking I’m long overdue for a cheetah girls marathon as well if anyone here knows those movies, I went through such a MAJOR cheetah girls phase when I was younger lol 😂
connecting with my inner child is honestly something I’ve been working really really hard on and once upon a time I would’ve cringed at myself even trying to enjoy something “for kids”, but I love it a lot. I think growing up seeing the quote “be childlike not childish” quite regularly as a kid really helped me the most with trying my best to keep my inner child’s hand held close 🥲

Happy Birthday Week @lonemushroom 🎂🎉 Connecting with your inner child to help you deal with the birthday blues sounds like a great plan 🌟. And the raspberry sherbet cake sounds delicious 😋 😍!!

@TunedIn Wish I could connect with my inner child. Managed to shower and wash hair - better than last two days. Also managed to go to shops. But alas I smoke and it is making me sick. Get puffed out. It is warm here today but they’re saying it’s going to rain later. Wish I could give up the smokes but I lack the will power. Sorry for being miserable.

Love this one @AuntGlow! Something I've been doing lately is taking my dog to a fenced off oval where he can run off lead. He's always so happy and joyful running around that sometimes I'll join in and try to run with him as fast as I can just for the fun of it. Makes me feel like a kid again 😊
