do you know who to contact to get rid of it? i'd be terrified too, i hope your dogs look out for you and protect you.

I mowed straight past it and screamed. I made the dogs come inside and the man next door came and killed it. It was over a meter long so it was a big one. He is now tidying up my backyard so no more come. @rav3n 

Im still shaking. My chest hurts. I’m scared to let the dogs out even though it’s gone. I’m still so scared. 

It’s taken my mind off my thoughts though!

that's so fair, it was a terrifying moment and it's gonna take some time to calm down. maybe it is safer to keep them in for a bit longer, until you feel okay. do you have a weighted blanket? sometimes getting wrapped up like a burrito helps me feel calm, hope it helps you too.

can add that to your list of distraction tools: spot a brown snake 🙃

He has whipper snipper and mown the rest of the lawn. He is scared of more snakes. @rav3n He wasn’t going to mow his lawn this weekend but he is going to now. He is scared too. 

When he has finished I’m going to go have a shower. Hopefully that can calm me down a bit. I do have a weighted blanket but I’ve never used it. 

Definitely not!!! I don’t want to spot another one in my backyard ever again!  I did have a blue tongue lizard but it’s obviously gone. Blue tongues keep the snakes away.

@Captain24 gosh so fair to be scared... and i didn't know that about blue tongued-lizard's keeping brown snakes away! guess its time to find one of those to guard your garden... but even lizards freak me out sometimes. 

let's hope that you never encounter any sort of snake again 🙏 i gotta hop off now but take care!!
