Hi @BPDSurvivor and others,
I was recently diagnosed with emerging BPD, a few years ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD, but in the last 2 or so years, I felt that my diagnosis of ADHD wasn't the full picture. I went to a psychologist last year and we had a few sessions and at the end he said I could have early onset psychosis or schizophrenia which was really scary for a 17 year old.
This year I went to a psychiatrist and he did a few tests and said I had emerging BPD, which just felt almost like a relief because I wasn't in the dark of not knowing what was going on with myself. That was last week, this week I had my first DBT session and it was a lot to think about, it was good and I am signed up to do the group sessions in May which I am excited for.
